About the Concert:
Designed for Elementary and Middle School
Featuring Carolbeth True, Blake Mickens, Kim Fuller, Randy Holmes and Kevin Gianino
Your students will experience the story of America’s unique creation, jazz – from Duke Ellington and Billie Holiday to Dave Brubeck and Herbie Hancock.
These one-hour performances feature some of St. Louis’ top musicians and educators as well as several nationally acclaimed artists. Students are given the opportunity for a Q&A session with artists at the end of each performance. Teacher handbooks, which include additional educational material and follow-up activities, will be provided to guide teachers for each concert.
